Sports Stephen Keshi confident Super Eagles will bounce back

Super Eagles coach Stephen Keshi has expressed displeasure at the recently released FIFA rankings, adding that he is confident Nigeria will make it up the table.

Nigeria dropped four places to 37th in the world according to the September ranking released by the world soccer governing body last Thursday.

"Definitely, I am not happy with the news but there is hope and the hope is that we need to work harder and focus on how we can regain that position,” Keshi told Complete sports.

"We worked hard to get there and if there is a drop now, nobody will be happy but like I said, there is hope.

"The recent two matches we played may have contributed to that but we are focused and looking ahead with the hope that things will get better.

"The most important thing to us as a team for now is making sure that we qualify for the Nations Cup and we will continue to do our best,” he concluded.
