On Thursday, an Osun State High Court sentenced Richard Abayomi Adesanmi to death by hanging. He is the prime suspect in he June 14, 2014 bomb blast event.
The bomb went off within the area of Osun State Secretariat, Abeere.
He was convicted of all six-count charges leveled against him, including murder and conspiracy.
On June 14, 2014, an explosion went off in a Peugeot 504 saloon car with plate number AL 850 NND near the Ministry of Water Resources and Rural Development, killing one of the vehicle's occupants (simply called 'Taye') and injuring Adesanmi.
Two other occupants, one Henry and the other Gboyega Olasogba, fled the scene and are still wanted.
