Something really remarkable was seen at this year's Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas. A battery charger charged up a Samsung smartphone from almost-empty to 100% in just 30 seconds.
This is the miracle that the Israeli start-up called StoreDot is selling. They have finally perfected their batteries and chargers, reducing them so they are the size of regular batteries and chargers.
The Tel Aviv company says their batteries use some hi-tech materials which work as a ‘super-dense sponge’ soaking up charge really fast and charging your phone in unbelievable time.
Doyon Myersdorf, the founder and CEO of StoreDot says: ‘These are new materials, they have never been developed before.'
‘We have reactions in the battery that are non-traditional reactions that allow us to charge very fast, moving ions from an anode to a cathode at a speed that was not possible before we had these materials.’
