Only two Nigerians athletes were ranked in the latest Judo world rankings released this month.
Augustine Esther and Solomon Eniafe were the only Nigerian Judo athletes who made their way into the ranking table.
Esther is ranked 77th in the women’s -63kg class, while Solomon is ranked 170th in the men’s -66kg weight category.
Both Esther and Solomon were able to poll 100 and 40 points respectively to make their way up the table.
No other Nigerian was ranked in any of the other categories which they had appeared in the previous rankings.
African’s highest ranked judoka is Jaballah Faicel from Tunisia, ranked 4th in the world with 1954 points.
