Nigeria -President Barack Obama of the United States made a mistake about Nigeria while speaking with President Muhammadu Buhari.
Addressing newsmen before the commencement of the meeting, Obama referred to Nigeria being located in Eastern Africa - Nigeria is in West Africa.
”the U.S. hoped to partner with Nigeria so that Nigeria ends up being not only an anchor of prosperity and stability in the eastern part of the continent, but can also be an outstanding role model for developing countries around the world.”
Buhari was accompanied by Professor Adebowale Adefuye, Nigeria’s Ambassador to the United States, and a few members of his delegation from Nigeria to the meeting.
