Metro Vigilante Group Rescues Abducted OAU Lecturer, 3 Nurses In Ekiti

According to a report in PUNCH newspaper, A lecturer of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Dr Femi Omisore who was kidnapped about two weeks ago has been rescued early Saturday.

The lecturer, 9 others including 3 Ekiti nurses were said to have been rescued by vigilantes at Esure Ekiti. The vigilante after rescuing the victims took them to the palace of Elesure of Esure Ekiti.

A family member of the OAU lecturer has confirmed the release. But it wasn't said if the abductors were apprehended.

When Dr Femi Omisore was abducted about two weeks ago, the abductors killed his driver and burnt his car. The driver was said to have tried to avoid being overtaken by the unknown men but couldn't. The men eventually killed him and burnt the car.
