Sports Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa make final list for African Player of the year award

Super Eagles duo Vincent Enyeama and Ahmed Musa have both been shortlisted in the final five-man list for the 2014 African Footballer of the Year award.

The Confederation of African Football(CAF) on Sunday trimmed down the list from 25 to the five best players on the continent.

Current player of the year, Yaya Toure is equally among the final list of players shortlisted for the award.

While Ghana's skipper, Asamoah Gyan of Ghana and Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang make up the final list of players for the award.

In the Women's category, two Nigerians Asisat Oshoala and Desire Oparanozie were shortlisted in the final list.

Kanu Nwankwo is the last Nigerian to have won the coveted African player of the year award, which he did in 1999.
