Ganiat Fawehimi has called out the President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, asking him to resign if he cannot tackle the Boko Haram insurgents.

“Look at the case of Chibok girls who were kidnapped; if they were the president’s daughters, wouldn’t he have acted? Look at how he acted when a relative of his in-law was kidnapped? He swung into action immediately and the person was found. If the president can do that, it means he is not working for Nigerians but himself. So, if he cannot stop the insurgency, he should resign and allow someone who can do it to take over,” she said.

“Look at us today in Nigeria; a week can barely pass without reports of bomb blasts in the country. If Gani had been supported back then, maybe Nigeria won’t have been where it is today.”
