Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger, has praised the tough mentality of his wards after defeating West Ham United on Tuesday.

Everton's 2-3 loss to Crystal Palace on Wednesday boosted the UEFA Champions League hopes of the Gunners as a top-four finish looks likely.

"We have moved forward this season; we were 17 or 18 times top of the league.

"We want to come out of the season and think we have given absolutely everything.

"We are in a crucial stage. Every game has a big impact so we just prepare massively well, and hope that results go for you.

"To play well, you need to have confidence. And confidence is better if your recent history is good."

Arsenal will face Hull City in next month's FA Cup final at Wembley and the Frenchman is hopeful of positive results through the remainder of the 2013/14 season.
