Eight students of Ajangbadi High School in Iba Local Council Development Area, LCDA, Lagos went into coma after the railing of the two-storey building in the school collapsed.

The incident which caused pandemonium in the school premises occurred at about 10:00 a.m. as the students were leaning on the rail on the second floor of the building.

Vanguard gathered that the rail had shown signs of rust but was not replaced.

Miss Rofiat Ademola, a Senior Secondary School, SSS1 student, said the rail finally gave way on Monday and injured eight of the SSS 3, students.

Naija for Life, so for a year the rail had been rusted but not replaced. These are little things that could have been fixed by the school

I know @Lequte will put this on Government

The people in charge of the school are responsible for this incident; they lacked the maintenance culture or maybe they are just lackadaisical

@leo looking for a nerve eh? *anti-you know what*

I know that at the end of it all, the government would be blamed.

...but the government is not lying critically wounded in the hospital. Government does not care - a fact we have established from the beginning of our history.

I'm not taking sides with the government but i strongly believe we should start taking ourselves a little more seriously in this country.
