Two persons were killed on Wednesday, while no fewer than nine others were injured after a tipper rammed into pedestrians at the U-turn end of the Lagos-Abeokuta Expressway.

The tipper was said to be avoiding a government convoy of seven vehicles that allegedly drove recklessly into the expressway from a side road. The incident was said to have occurred between 11am and 12pm.

Government Convoy has always been a nuisance in Nigeria, they drive recklessly like they are the owners of the road.

It has always been that way....the world is supposed to stop because some ****head political office holder is passing by.

My only question is this: After they cause these accidents, do they stop to help the victims?

If they don't, then this is far more than corruption or plain stupidity, this is a mental situation. You watch people slowly fading away and you just drive away like you have done nothing!! - and they are the government.

Kogi state governor visited his own victims in the hospital http://www.nigerianbulletin.com/threads/asuu-leaders-chase-kogi-gov-away-from-hospital-punch.19621/

Very few of them will, infact none of them will. We are not humans to the government. The story said they stopped few miles from the accident scene, watched for some secs and left. They clearly have mental issues

Does visiting them make any difference, especially when life has been touched? You can't give back life

No doubt, life is irreplaceable. I would love if they stopped so the mob could pounce on them. The reaction the Kogi state governor got is probably the reason they fear to stop.

To curb this nonsense, the convoy should drive at an average speed limit. There's no need to rush. If someone is trying to assassinate them, even at that speed, their brains will still be blown out.

I live in a country were madmen are allowed to lead and sane men to walk the streets naked or kept in a mental home. Let's just put the men and women in psychiatric wards in government, so we just know what we are dealing with.
