Pastor Enoch Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God last week told members to bring their children for a special anointing service against meningitis.

So far, about 328 people have died as a result of meningitis and over 2,524 cases have been recorded across 16 states of the country.

Meningitis is popularly tackled through vaccination.

See video of Adeboye below:

Just like saying a new born child should not be taken to the clinic for vaccinations, but should be brought to the altar instead. First things first. They should be advised to take their wards for medical attention, and they can come to the church afterwards. But, not entirely sure he explicitly inferred not taking children for meningitis vaccination.

he didn't ask them to take their kids for vaccination. Hope he acts differently during the anointing service
