On Sunday, the Catholic Archdiocese of Abuja declared new rules for worshippers during mass in a bid to check the potential spread of the Ebola virus in such a loud gathering.
Suggestions by Rev. Father Moses Jimbili include:
1. Giving the holy communion on the palm of the faithful's hand as opposed to placing it on the recipient's tongue.
2. The handshakes done by worshippers during consecration of the Holy Communion as a sign of peace have also been suspended.
3. Special intercessory prayers will be offered during Mass against the Ebola virus' spread.
