A report from Yaoundé in Cameroon by the Sun newspaper has said that the Cameroonian army killed 107 Boko Haram fighters in a battle this week in the northern part of the country.
In what is being described as a 'fighting of rare violence' two areas of the north served as the battleground, and the 'war' went on on Wednesday and Thursday. Eight Cameroonian soldiers were also killed, the defence ministry said in a statement read on the state's radio.
