17 lawmakers in the Adamawa state House of Assembly have began moves to impeach former acting governor of the state, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, who recently returned as speaker of the assembly.
According to THIS DAY, the lawmakers are allegedly aggrieved because Fintiri never fulfilled his part of the agreement held prior to the impeachment of the former state Governor, Murtala Nyako, and the impromptu resignation of his deputy, Bala James Ngillari, now governor of the state to pave the way for him to rule the state.
Another ground for impeachment as cited by a PDP chieftain who spoke anonymously is the fact that Fintiri and Ngillari come from the same zone.
The impeachment move is yet to become official as lawmakers haven't openly deliberated on it.
