"Piss for their mouth! Shit for their head. Subsidy their papa and their mama too. You go think them go fight for change as baboon dey chop monkey. Them go shout small for internet, write English for paper. But nothing go happen because them be 200 million mumu!" - Snippets from the video, an accurate commentary on the life of every single Nigerian.

No words for this video, but Nigeria is seriously in need of a revolution. Watch this - maybe it'll will get the people angry sufficiently enough.

More likely, events will happen like every other time - a minor outrage, then general amnesia.

Timely music video from Lagbaja.

LAGBAJA knows that Nigeria is in the tardy form. Lagbaja is a gadfly that necessarily must stir it into motion.

The Nigeria leaders don't seem to understand resentments on twitter, Facebook or any other social media. The last check, Nigerian pratical engaged the government was in January 2012. There has not being any other after the Occupy Nigeria.

It is a wake up call. We must not forget that the democracy we are in Nigeria today didn't come about without struggles and heros: late Gani Fawehimi, late Beko Ransome - Kuti to mention two among others whose departure has created vacuum for the course to advance the democracy in Nigeria.

If these late activists are watching the 200MM Nigerians now probably they should be drawing us to Lagbaja," that we should engage real actions that will help to take the democracy forward. That the social media can help to create awareness on a timely manner, increase our spread and enlist more support arround the globe but social platforms cannot replace actively engaging the govt for now ".

In advanced democracy, when a govt official is indicted he voluntarily resign. In Nigeria the indicted official without any sobriety will go to hire crowds to protested the indictment and give it different colouration: ethnic or religion bias. Many indictments just ended that way.

If Nigerian leaders have listening ears or are socially sensitive to the social media then these platforms could have helped the #Bringbackourgirls to have successfully brought about the rescue of the girls.

We, 200MM must resolve to pull off our masks and confront our problem and look our public enemies eye balls to eye balls.

A responsible government in this digital and information revolution age will see social platforms as a veritable tool harness to sell its program and actions and to encourage ideas feedback from the public.

Goverment that is self serving and unaccountable to the people will ignore social platform without consequence on the 'short run'. On the 'long run' nothing is constant except the acceleration of the pace of change.

This change is the genuine observable reason for the shift forward of the election date from Feb 14 to Mar 28.

Do you really believe any of this?

We have seen of great leaders who had served thier countries with the love of thier countary at heart.

Mandela was a selfless leader who did his best for South Africa. We are yet to see a selfless leader like him in Nigeria but I have hope that one will emerge soon.
