Politics 2007 Election Ballot Paper Contract: Reps Order CBN to Refund N1.015bn- Nigerian Tribune

The House of Representatives Committee on Public Accounts, on Thursday, ordered the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to refund the sum of N1,015 billion to the Consolidated Revenue Account (CRA) within one week for a contract for the supply of 65 million ballot papers for the 2007 Presidential election, the contract sum, the Committee claimed, was paid twice.

The chairman of the committee, Honourable Solomon Adeola Olamilekan, gave the directive, following the inability of the CBN to provide satisfactory evidence on the contract.
