Sports 2015 AFCON: Avram Grant happy with his team's progress

Black Stars of Ghana head coach, Avram Grant has said that his side are getting better as they progress in the ongoing African Cup of Nations in Equatorial Guinea.

Ghana defeated Guinea 3-0 in their quarter final game last weekend, progressing to the tourney's semi finals to face the host country, Equatorial Guinea, who will enjoy massive support from their fans.

"I felt the team continued with the good attitude and mentality and that was the basis of all we did and the players showed a lot of quality and for me, that was important," Grant said.

"This is not a team we built for just one match and in every game, we have showed an improvement from the previous one. This is a good indication of the players and how the team is doing."

An early tap in and then a stunning long ranger from Christian Atsu came before Kwesi Appiah gave the Black Stars the win which sees them into the semis.

"We played very well on the day. It was quarter final against a very good team but we closed them down and did not let them play their game."
