Ahead of the 2015 general elections, , Cross River chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has called on the state governor, Liyel Imoke, to pick a successor in earnest.
According to DAILY POST, Mr. Goddy Eta,State Secretary of the PDP, during the official commissioning of the secretariat of Coalition of Political Support Group in Cross River, said Imoke’s choice of the next governor would ensure continuity.
He said: “The only issue in Cross River for now is, who takes over from Imoke in 2015. This is because we want somebody who can come to continue the good work.
“He has taken a position and he should be supported to play a role into who takes over from him: and that is where we all belong”.
“PDP is ready to support any group that keys into its vision and mission and encourages its leadership of the group to be focused", he added.
