457 schools have been shut down in Kaduna following the discovery that they are operating without proper licences from the ministry of education.

Mallam Muhammed Usman, the commissioner for education in the state has also threatened the closure of 185 more schools if they fail to meet the set standards.

This action was made in the light of the declining state of education in the country. Schools are popping up everywhere without licensing and unsuspecting parents send their children to such schools.

Parents should check potential schools thoroughly before enrolling their children/wards.
