Another political party, the Voice of the People (VOP), has applied to be registered.

According to News sources, seven People’s Democratic Party (PDP) governors, are believed to be behind the party.

The governors include; Governors Sule Lamido (Jigawa), Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano), Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Babangida Aliyu (Niger) and Aliyu Wamakko (Sokoto), Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara) and embattled Rivers State Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi. House of Representatives Speaker Aminu Tambuwal, a political associate of Wamakko, is also linked with the association.

It could not be confirmed last night from the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) whether it had received the registration request of VOP.

But a single horse standing on its hind legs, superimposed on a white colour with green and brown colours on its right and left side, is the logo of the VOP.

People just want to hold on to power, especially Africans. They'd find a way to make sure one way or the other, directly or indirectly, they are still at the helm.
Can't really blame them, it's the African nature.
