In a bid to repair his damaged image in the media after the debacle on Saturday, Abba Moro, Nigeria’s Minister of Interior has dangled N500,000 each before some journalists to clean up his image.
Sahara Reporters declared that at least 23 people died while any others sustained injuries during a stampede at the National Stadium in Abuja as well as in other venues across the country.
This led to a widespread call for the sack of the interior minister.
Moro’s response on Thursday, however, was to attempt to bribe some journalists to defuse the palpable tension surrounding his name.
