Nollywood actress, Halima Abubakar attempted committing suicide in 2013 over extreme pangs of depression but added that the fear of going to Hell was enough to pull her out of her despair.
Abubakar made the revelation via a post on her Instagram page; where she said:
“I remember this time last year; I wanted to kill my self. I’m glad I didn’t because I know it’s hell straight. But I was suicidal. I’m happy to be in a better place…God hhhmm, I adore you...” she wrote on Instagram.
Two other female celebrities who have recently opened up on their battle with suicidal tendencies are Nollywood actress and singer, Tonto Dikeh and American rapper, Nicki Minaj
