Seven members of the Boko Haram sect terrorizing a village in Adamawa state have been killed by hunters.
According to eyewitnesses, the terrorists attacked around 12 pm on Saturday, burning houses and shooting sporadically at Makwan village a few kilometres to Gulak town of Madagali LGA.
While this was going on, some Fulanis alerted hunters manning their duty post some kilometres away.
The leader of the hunters , Mallam Bukar Jimeta, immediately mobilized his men to the area where they engaged the insurgents in a cross-fire which lasted from 10pm to midnight on Saturday.
They eventually overpowered the terrorists, killing seven of them. One terrorist was however captured with several gunshot wounds but others escaped into the bush.
