Borno House of Assembly Deputy Speaker, Danlami Kubo, has nominated Governor Kashim Shettima to be the next President of Nigeria, after Muhammadu Buhari.
He spoke during the flag-off of a three day entrepreneurial training for 10,000 selected widows and displaced women, which was organised by the federal government.
According to him, moves are already in place to ensure that Shettima is accepted when the time comes for the APC to choose Buhari’s successor.
He didn't state clearly why he wants Mr. Shettima to be President and the later has not declared any intention to run for president, while Mr. Buhari has not declared if he would seek a second term or not.
Mr. Kubo, has represented Shani constituency of Borno in the State House of Assembly since 2007. He is the head of the assembly’s Women Affairs committee.
