Producers of Fumman juice brand, said that agriculture has contributed a lot to the development of the industrial sector.
The Managing Director of Fumman, Mr Layi Adeyemi has said the companies focus is to have major impact on the society through its investment in agricultural development, that is why they have introduced Fummans passion fruits to farms close to the factory and also encouraged the importation of elite planting materials of mango, oranges, guavas and pineapples where we have three varieties on its farm.
They collaborated with the Nigeria Centre for Genetic Resources Conservation and Biochemistry (NACGRAB), Nigerian Horticulture Research Institute (NIHORT),Nigeria’s Agricultural Research Institutes and this collaboration has brought about the promotion of knowledge in the value chain of fruit crops research, planting, management, harvesting, processing and marketing.
He added that Fumman has formidable structure on ground both in Nigeria and West Africa and they introduced use of print on cans and easy-opening lids to its offer of fruit juices and canned pineapple pieces and slices, before progressing into cardboard packaging materials thatis popular everywhere.
