The #AkwaIbom House of Assembly on Tuesday confirmed two nominees sent to it by Governor #GodswillAkpabio for appointment as commissioners.
Confirming the nominees in #Uyo, the Speaker of the House, Samuel Ikon, said they were eminently qualified for appointment into the state executive council.
Ikon charged them to bring to bear their wealth of experience in the discharge of their new assignments.
"Accordingly, the list of commissioners sent by the governor is hereby cleared. The Clerk to the House is directed to forward the confirmation list to the governor.’’
The Speaker advised the confirmed commissioners to add value to the state executive council and bring more development to the people.
The confirmed commissioners are Mr Ante Okwong and Mr Ignatius Edet, who served as Speaker of the fourth assembly from 2007-2010.
Akpabio had on April 23, dropped two commissioners from his cabinet.
