Amazon Prime Air: Order on Amazon and Have it Delivered by Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in 30 Minutes

When I saw Amazon's tweet this morning, I was disbelieving. I had to see for myself, so I quickly hurried over to the Amazon webpage, and there I saw what the guys at Amazon's next generation Tech lab have been working on.

Allow me to introduce to you Amazon Prime Air™. The goal of Prime Air is to deliver orders to the recipients in 30 minutes or less through the use of drones, or unmanned aerial vehicles.

Unfortunately, however, this isn't ready-to-go technology, as Amazon hasn't completed the tech required or gotten the required FAA license to pull it off, but they are optimistic that Prime Air will come on in a number of years.

In their Q&A section, Amazon says it hopes to have sorted out the FAA rules and regulations by 2015, and they should be ready to make their first deliveries by then.
