It is understood that Super Eagles assistant coach,Daniel Amokachi,has recommended left-back,Uwa Echiejile to Turkish side,Besiktas.
According to Turkish sports daily Fanatik,Amokachi was contacted by his former club,Beskitas to inquire about Echiejile,who has now become a mainstay in the left-back position of the Super Eagles.
Amokachi made his mark with the Beskitas,and reportedly spoke glowingly of Echiejile to the club.
Echiejile has only one year left on his contract with Portuguese club,Sporting Braga,who are willing to cash-in on the player.
The 25-year old is valued by Braga at around €3m,which they expect other clubs to meet,before he would be sold.
English side Norwich City,were heavily linked with Echiejile after the 2013 FIFA Confederations Cup,but it looks like they fall short of Braga’s asking fee for him.
