Chief Willie Obiano of the All Progressives Grand Alliance scored the highest number of votes in the just concluded Anambra governorship election conducted on Saturday 16 and 17 November 2013,however, the Independent National Electoral Commission,INEC has refused to declare him winner.
According to the state INEC official who announced the results at about 6am Monday morning, a winner couldn't be announced because the total numbers of cancelled votes was more than the difference between the numbers of votes cast for the winner and the runner up .
The PDP had 94956 votes while the APC had 92300 votes .
