Yesterday, Habu Mu’azu, former coordinator of President Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign in Gombe State, was attacked by an angry mob at the palace of the Emir of Gombe where he went to attend the wedding Fatiha of the daughter of the former New PDP Treasurer Tanko Ishaku Gwamna.
Speaking to DAILY TRUST after the incident, Mu’azu said, "I was lucky some good Samaritans protected me and that brought about a clash between the thugs and those who tried to protect me. Later, I was accompanied out of the mosque by the commissioner of police, so I returned home safely.
However, the Gombe state Police command has denied having knowledge of any such attack.
