The #PeoplesDemocraticParty (PDP) in #Ekiti State, has alleged that the state governor and candidate of the #AllProgressivesCongress (APC) in the June 21 governorship election in the state, Dr #KayodeFayemi, is coercing voters to sell their voter cards.
The #AyoFayose Campaign Organisation (AFCO), which leveled the allegation in a press conference in Ado Ekiti, on Tuesday, claimed that “each voter card is being bought at a cost of N5,000, while a total of 35,000, had been bought from voters as of Tuesday.”
The Director of Media of AFCO, Chief Gboyega Aribisogan, who spoke on behalf of the group, alleged that “the massive purchase of voter cards is meant to boost APC’s performance on the day of the election,” and added that “the governor has recruited about 200 fake election monitors called “Democracy Vanguard” as part of his party’s rigging strategies.”
