It seems the feud between APC bigwigs Bola Tinubu and John Odigie Oyegun, is still boiling despite both men exchanging a handshake with their faces full of smiles at the launch of President Buhari's autobiography yesterday.

Tinubu had caused political waves to boil last week when he called for Oyegun's resignation after the later forwarded Rotimi Akeredolu's name to INEC as the APC Ondo state governorship candidate, despite a party decision nullifying the election in which he emerged as the party's candidate.

Oyegun had reacted calmly, saying Tinubu is a respected party member and that he was concentrating on the Edo governorship election- in which he lost his unit to the PDP, an occurrence which will further dent his chances of emerging unscathed from the impending blizzard.

On Monday, both men met in Abuja during President Buhari's book launch. Reports say there are efforts to reconcile both men, and this is obvious in that arrangements ensured that both men were seated side by side.

However, this wasn't enough to quench the fire between them. Vanguard said both men greeted each other and shook hands at yesterday’s ceremony but subsequently seemed to avoid further interactions. This is despite the fact that they were seated side by side.

Most Ondo APC chiefs are at war with Oyegun, Tinubu included. Timi Frank, an APC chief had given Oyegun a 14 day ultimatum to resign.

Tick. Tock.
