In what looks like confirmation of President Muhammadu Buhari's health status at the floor of the House of Representative on Tuesday, Hon. Alhassan Ado-Doguwa said the 'President is sick abroad'.
During a tense debate on the rift between Governor Abdullahi Ganduje and the Rabiu Kwankwasia group, the Lawmaker said the latter group has heated tension in Kano state owing to the absence of President Buhari.
Ado-Doguwa, who is also the Chief Whip of the House told the lower legislative chamber that: “Our beloved President is sick abroad”, referring to President Muhammadu Buhari, who has been away since January 19.
The legislators disagreed on the word “sickness” to describe the health status of Buhar as the Majority leader, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila told him to stop saying Buhari was “sick.”
“The president is not sick. At best, he can say that the President is on medical vacation. There is a difference between being sick and going on a medical vacation,” he said.
