The Publicity Secretary, All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kaduna State, Alhaji Muhammad Attahir, on Tuesday said the registration of party members scheduled to commence on Wednesday nationwide, may not hold in the state.
The state Interim Management Committee and other stakeholders of the party were still awaiting instructions from the national secretariat of the party according to him.
Officials mandated by the national secretariat of the party to handle the registration exercise had been manhandled by suspected thugs at a meeting with stakeholders on Sunday in Kaduna.
Attahir said those officers had been directed by the national secretariat of the party ``to stay action pending when issues are resolved".
Also, the party had been engulfed in leadership crisis since the election of its interim state executive officers, resulting in the resignation of the party's state chairman on Sunday, which was however rejected by the management committee.
He was however optimistic that the issues would be resolved soon for the membership registration exercise to commence.
