Politics APC Sweeps Yobe LG Polls

17 Chairmanship seats in have been won after the local government elections in Yobe State by the All Progressives Congress (APC). The winning party secured no less than 999,700 of the 1.2 million votes cast during the elections.

This was announced by the Chairman of the State Independent Electoral Commission, Alhaji Mohammed Jauro, saying that the entire seats were won by the APC and no complaints were brought to the supervising body on any issue pertaining to the election.

Jauro said, "The successful conduct of the polls is a proof that peace has returned to the state.’’
