According to Osun Defender, Osun state governor, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has approved the proscription of all military clubs and associations in all secondary schools in the State.

The Secretary to the Osun State Government, Alhaji Moshood Adeoti said this in a release and explained that consequently all military trainings in all secondary schools in the state have been banned.

The release disclosed that the ban becomes imperative in view of the alarm raised by the Nigerian Army Headquarters over the criminal activities of some members of these cadets with the use of army green uniforms.

This development could lead to the recruitment of these cadets by criminal elements to carry out heinous crimes- which isn’t good for the current security situation in the country, the release said.

The National Cadets Corps was established in 1961 with the aim of training youths in secondary schools on minor regimental activities to enhance their discipline and make them patriotic citizens.

Aregbesola doesn't give a damn about education. I feel pity for any child schooling under the travesty of "free education" in that state.

^why sayeth ye so, I pray thee?
Methinks Ogbeni doeth as he seem fit in his eye and fareth better than he who was in his shoes.
