A ForwardKeys' recent analysis for seat capacity for travel to top ten international airports in Africa

Nigeria's economic woes continues to take its toll on the travel industry as a recent study shows a substantial drop in seats available for both domestic and international travel from Lagos. In contrast to Nigeria's challenge, it appears other top destinations across the country will continue to experience double-digit growth.

A major cause of the slump in available seats from Lagos is the cutting of 53% of seat capacity by Arik air for the rest of 2017. For the rest of this year, there will be 16% fewer seats on domestic routes and 9% fewer on international routes to and from Lagos.
