Politics Army release hotlines, emails to spy on terrorists

The Nigerian Army has released some GSM numbers and e-mail addresses that will enable the citizens to reach out to the force in the ongoing campaign against terrorism.

The numbers are 08160030300, 0705333123 and 08191555888 while the e-mail addresses[email protected], [email protected], and[email protected].

Brig-Gen Ibrahim Attahiru, the director of Army Public Relations urged citizens to give information to the Nigerian Army Information Alert System. He said the effective collaboration of the army with other security gencies will put an end to the menace of Boko Haram in the country.

According to him, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Azubuike Ihejirika had commenced the implementation of the Freedom of Information Act as enshrined in the FoI Act of 2011..

An office has been opened for the FoI Act to give the public access to information concerning the operations of the service.
