Sports Arsenal 2-2 Man City: Draw a fair result for both teams

Arsenal and Manchester City battled to a 2-2 draw in their English Premier League game played at the Emirates.

With both teams not winning their last match in the league,it was a match they needed to win to keep up with the early pacesetters in the league.
To many people,if Arsenal needs to win the Premier League they need to start winning their big games .

Arsenal have already beaten Manchester City this season(Community Shield) and it wouldn't have been out of place to bet against them doing it again.

Yaya Toure was missing in the squad, having had an arduous week travelling to Africa for the 2015 Nations Cup qualifiers, playing a game in Cameroon on Wednesday for Ivory Coast.

Manchester City were equally missing the services of Stevan Jovetic and Fernando who were ruled out of the game with an injury, but they still had enough quality in their ranks.

It was Arsenal who started the brighter of both teams, running through the channels with City initially struggling with a nervy start.

Danny Welbeck making his debut for Arsenal almost got on the score-sheet,latching on to a misplaced pass from a City player but was unlucky to see his ball bounce off the inside bar after he chipped Joe Hart.

However it was City who took the lead,Jesus Navas picked out Kun Aguero in the box, squaring the ball for the Argentine to slot it into the net for the opening goal.

It was like an old ghost haunting Arsenal, and they were on the back foot again, trailing a big team.

However respite came in the second half when they found the equaliser.

Jack Wilshere glided through, skipped past Gael Clichy and roofed in the goal to draw his side level at 1-1.

Ten minutes later they went in front,Alexis Sanchez volleyed in a spectacular goal to put Arsenal in front.

One would have guessed that Arsenal will go on to see out the game, but it was not the case.

In the 83rd minute,Martin Demichelis towered high unmarked in box and headed in the equaliser.

City could have won the game in the dying minutes of the match, coming close on a couple of occasions.

Aleksandr Kolarov,Edin Dzeko all saw their efforts bounce off the post late on in the game.

However, the draw seemed a fair result for both teams in a game that was highly entertaining.
