The defeat dealth United's top four hopes a huge blow and gave Arsenal hopes of qualifying for the champions league.
However, Arsenal legend Thiery Henry said Jose Mourinho will be proven right to prioritise the Europa league to qualify for next season's Champions League.
"That's exactly that," he said on Sky Sports.
"That's what he's waiting for. To say at the end of the day 'we are going to be in the Champions League'.
"'I knew we were going to win it' and have two trophies.
"So you find yourself in the situation where he's going to have the last laugh at the end of the day.
"I'm sure he's waiting to tell us he was right!"
