Arsenal down Tottenham 1-0

Arsenal had the upper hand in their North London clash with Tottenham,defeating their neighbours 1-0 in the game played at the Emirates stadium.
Olivier Giroud made it 4 goals in five games putting Arsenal ahead just after just 23 minutes.
Tottenham’s defence was caught napping,and Giroud made an impressive run behind the defenders, to tap in a Theo Walcott’s square ball for 1-0.
Despite the summer spree that saw Spurs spend over £100million on new acquisitions,they were still the second best to coach Arsene Wenger’s side,who are yet to spend this season.
Andros Townsend had a couple of shots that looked promising for Spurs,but Szczesny, was equal to the task.
The overall star performer in the game was Hugo Lloris who pulled up strong saves for his side,coming out of his lines on a couple of occasions to deny Theo Walcott in both halves.
Tottenham are yet to score from open play in the league this season,lacking the cutting edge to beat Arsenal.
With the win Arsenal moved level on points with Tottenham and just three points behind the leaders Liverpool.
