Sports Arsenal secures first Premier League win

Arsenal followed up their impressive win in the UEFA Champions League qualifiers on Wednesday, with another win on Saturday defeating Fulham 1-3 at Craven Cottage.

Lukas Podolski made it 2-0 drilling home a ferocious shot from the edge of the box, after Stockdale’s initial save from Theo Walcott fell to him.
Arsenal was on the ascendancy going into half-time and had opportunities of extending their lead.
But Fulham started the second half brighter and Adel Taarabt forced Szczesny to an early save, with a long range shot from outside the box.
Arsenal looked dangerous each time they were on the break,Podolski grabbed his second of the game in the 67th minute after a nice counter-attacking move, resulted in Santi Cazorla lining up a shot for the German to rifle into the net.
However Fulham pulled a consolatory goal back,Berbatov forcing Szczesny to a save from his near post, but Darren Bent was on hand to tap in and make the scores 1-3.
The win will relieve some pressure on Arsene Wenger, who has come under criticisms for not reinforcing his squad yet.
