The Chairman of AshakaCem Plc, Mallam Suleiman Yahyah has tendered his resignation from the company.
The company's secretary, Zainab Silas-Umaru (Ms) made this known in statement posted on the Nigerian Stock Exchange on Thursday.
“In line with the listing requirements of the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE), the Board of Directors hereby announce the resignation of Mallam Suleiman Yahyah, OON as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company with effect from May 2, 2017.
“Mallam Yahyah joined the Board of Directors of AshakaCem Plc in 2010, and was appointed as Chairman of the Board of Directors in March 2015.
“The Board of Directors and Management are grateful to Mallam Yahyah for his leadership of the Board and meritorious service to the Company
