Though it just resumed work following a six-months-long strike, the Lagos State University (LASU) chapter of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU-LASU, is set to embark on another round of strikes.
The lecturers are unhappy over a number of long-standing issues they say the school’s administration has failed to address.
This was part of decisions reached during the ASUU-LASU congress which was monitored by City Voice during the week. Chairman of the union, Dr. Adekunle Idris, admitted that the strike will be harmful and that all other options are being explored to avoid the strike.
