Ahead of the 11th Africa Junior Championship,the Athletics Federation of Nigeria(AFN) has invited over 42 athletes and 12 coaches to camp.
The invited athletes would resuming camping in Sapele, Delta State from August 5th,where they will all be before travelling for the Championship.
Mauritius will now be hosting the championship from August 29 to September 1,after it was moved from the initial host country,South Africa.
Some of the invited athletes for the men’s 100m event are : Harry Chukwudike, Anthony Egode, Mamus Emoobunovie, Victor Ikhazoboh, Ini-Oluwa Victor and Divine Oduduru.
The others are : Briggs Tamunotonye and Akerele Omeiza for the 200m event, while Oshasha Samson, Ottah Ugochukwu, Akerele Omeiza, Ebelebe Charles, Adeniji Ademola and Japhet Samuel will slug it out in 400m event.
The duo of Ifeanyi Atuma and Bashiru Abdullahi will do the 110m event,while Agboola Daniel will compete in the 800m.
