A baby factory operated by a couple in Asaba has been uncovered by the Delta State police.

Seven pregnant girls, aged between 18 to 20, were rescued from the facility which is located in Oduke area of the city.

The facility is run by a woman, who is said to be a nurse, and her husband helps with things.

Report said the husband’s duty was to impregnate the women, while the wife then allegedly sells the children upon delivery.

Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Celestina Kalu, said Blessing Aondoseer, one of the inmates blew the lid open after she made a complaint that her two-week old baby boy was taken to unknown destination by her husband and a lady, who was later identified as Jennifer Obi and two others without her consent.
