Bashi Alli demanding for N5bn from the Sports Minister

Veteran boxer,Bash Alli,has threatened to take the Sports Minister,Mallam Bolaji Abdullahi to court,if he is not compensated to the tune of N5billion .
Alli and the Abdullahi had a misunderstanding,with the boxer accusing the Sports minister of trying to frustrate his boxing project,claiming that he was asked to part with some money before he could get the funds the Federal Government allocated to him.
The 57-year old claims his fundamental rights was infringed upon,and that he was beaten by the security guards,after a failed meeting with the Sports minister.
In a letter signed by his counsel, Mr. Emmanuel Subilim, copying the Presidency,National Assembly, Director-General State Security Service, President of the World Boxing Federation and the International Boxing Union, Alli asked for an apology “for the gross violation of the dignity of his person and his fundamental rights.”
Alli’s lawyer said, “Our client further tells us that instead of addressing his concerns, you instructed your armed aides, who are members of the Nigerian Police, to block and restrain our client’s freedom of movement,” he was quoted as saying on The Punch newspaper.
Last week Alli and the Sports minister had a meeting in Abuja,but both parties could not reach an agreement to sheathe their swords,after the boxer walked out from the meeting.
