Bayern Munich President charged for tax evasion

Bayern Munich President,Uli Hoeness,has been charged for tax evasion by the German authorities.
Hoeness was charged after a lengthy inquiry ,into investigations that he operates an undeclared Swiss account.
His lawyers have a month to respond to the charges against Hoeness,before a court will rule whether the case should go on trial or not.
Hoeness turned himself in to the German authorities,earlier this year as further investigations were launched into his operations.
“Due to the volume of the investigation files as well as the fact that a defence request to delay answering to the charges for one month was granted, a decision of the court on starting a trial is not to be expected before the end of September 2013,” court spokeswoman Andrea Titz said in a statement.
Under Hoeness’ leadership,Bayern Munich had a fantastic 2012/2013 campaign,wining the Champions League, Bundesliga and the German Cup.
