Dufil Prima Foods Plc, maker of Nigeria’s number one noodles brand has received accolades from the beneficiary schools it donated Science Laboratory equipments to recently, following an Impact assessment visit, made recently by the company to the schools.

The schools namely, Morrocco Junior High School, Magbon Segun Community Senior High school, Jubilee model School, Ibadan Grammar School and Kosofe Senior High School who benefitted from Dufil Prima foods Plc’s donation of Science Laboratory Equipments, were paid an impromptu visit by the Assessment Team to ascertain the level of impact the donated equipment had had so far on the development of the schools and its students.

During an assessment exercise in one of the schools at Morocco Junior High, the principal Mr. Adekunle Festus Babamboni, who received the team from Dufil, and spoke on behalf of all the beneficiary Schools, expressed his profound gratitude on behalf of all to Dufil for the educational support and subsequent monitoring to ascertain desired impact and progress.

He urged other organisations to emulate Dufil in contributing to the educational development of the youths who he described as the nation’s future leaders while also assuring that no stone will be left unturned in ensuring proper maintenance of the equipments.

Responding, the leader of the team and the Public Relations Manager, Dufil Prima Foods Plc, Mr. Tope Ashiwaju expressed appreciation to the management of the Schools for the proper maintenance of the apparatuses, and more importantly the high level of progress witnessed in the student’s academic grades particularly the science subjects.

Shedding more light on this development, Ashiwaju, stated that the rationale behind the evaluation exercise was to fulfil the company’s long term vision of positively impacting on the country’s educational sector.

He further stated “The Donation of Science laboratory Equipment is one of the company’s core Corporate Social Responsibility Initiative (CSR) on Education, it is therefore imperative that we visit the schools to assess the impact these donations have had on learning and teaching in the schools, which should reflect in the students’ examination results especially WAEC.”

Ashiwaju continued, “It is also crucial that we ensure the equipments are properly stored and maintained, so that our efforts will not be in vain,” he added. On this note, he assured the schools of the company’s continuous support in helping them attain far reaching growth in their schools.

In showing appreciation for Dufil’s initiative, a group of students from the visited schools gave testimonials on the impact of the laboratory equipment on their studies and thanked Dufil Prima Foods for taking them a step closer to achieving their dreams.

According to Victoria Sunday, a student of Morocco Comprehensive Junior High School, “I will be forever grateful to Dufil Prima Foods, for giving my school these equipments. This is because before these equipments were donated, there was a shortage in learning apparatuses of biology, chemistry and physics, due to the fact that we were only able to learn the theoretical aspects of the subjects and not the practical aspect, due to lack of science equipments”. Today our story is a beautiful one which has seen us excel greatly in our internal and external exams.

The Donation of Science laboratory equipments and support for the educational sector in Nigeria is a regular CSR Initiative among many others of Dufil Prima Foods with more than 25 schools benefiting from the scheme so far, since it started.
